Formula Information
GrowBack's Finasteride 0.25% and Melatonin 2% Topical Scalp Serum (Alcohol Free) Scalp Serum is a specially compounded liquid formulation designed for topical application to the scalp. This unique blend of active ingredients is dispensed in a dropper bottle for precise and controlled administration, ensuring targeted treatment for a variety of hair loss and scalp conditions. Finasteride is a type of medication known as a 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor. It works by targeting the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase, which is responsible for the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT is a hormone that has been implicated in the miniaturisation of hair follicles, leading to hair loss. By inhibiting this enzyme, finasteride effectively reduces DHT levels in the scalp, which helps to halt the progression of hair loss and in some cases, may even reverse it by allowing hair follicles to regain their normal size and function. Melatonin, a powerful antioxidant, protects the scalp from oxidative damage that can lead to hair loss, aids in reducing inflammation, blocks dihydratestosterone (DHT) and aids in promoting healthy skin cells on the scalp.
